Old Anandians’ Class of 2002, the official 2002 group affiliated to the ACOBA, completed its first CSR Project for the year 2021/22 in April 2021, under the name of අනඳ මනුදම්, to uplift the standards of Osuwinna Kanishta Vidyalaya, Thissamaharamaya.
From donations received from fellow batch mates, the Group built / renovated toilets and IT room, play area and Budu medura, donated books, staff uniforms, whiteboards and computers and installed a water supply system. The handing over ceremony was held on 3rd April 2021.

Considering the prevailing pandemic situation of the country and travel restrictions which were imposed in the second and third quarters of the year 2021, Old Anandians’ Class of 2002 decided to initiate its second CSR project under its signature අනඳ මනුදම්.
Under this project, hundred households were donated with food and dry rations with the guidance of Borella Police Station. These households, which were selected by the Community Police Unit of Borella, consisted of a set of families severely affected from the pandemic situation.

Old Anandians’ Class of 2002, identifying this requirement, has come forward and donated two steel cupboards, two dining tables with chairs, a washing machine and communication equipment with contributions of the group members.
These items were handed over to the Chief Medical Officer of Welimada Base Hospital on 7th July 2021 by representatives of the Executive Committee of Old Anandians’ Class of 2002. This was the 3rd phase of අනඳ මනුදම් humanitarian service of the 2002 OBA group, recognizing the need of the hour of the health sector of the country.
